About the format: HDCAM is a professional high-definition videotape format developed by Sony and widely used in television, documentary, production and post-production environments. As HDCAM equipment has become increasingly difficult to maintain and access, transferring these tapes to modern digital files can help preserve valuable recorded material.
Please note: Pricing is per videotape up to 94 minutes in length. Tapes longer than 94 minutes require the purchase of two transfers.
HDCAM SR: Standard HDCAM and HDCAM SR are different formats. Reel Transfers currently handles standard HDCAM in-house. If you have HDCAM SR material, please contact us—we may be able to coordinate the transfer through one of our specialist transfer partners.
